Why do I need a wedding videographer?

Not everyone “needs” a wedding videographer- we get it, weddings are expensive! But having a wedding video means having a way to relive the best day of your life over and over again! We capture every detail of your wedding with both video and audio. Being able to see and hear helps you relive the day over and over again. We’ve had clients tell us, “We never look at our wedding pictures, but we watch our wedding video all the time!” Having a video can showcase feelings had, words said, and everything else that a photo can’t. Your video lasts a lifetime and can be shown to future children, family members, and friends as a personal memento forever!

What happens to my footage after my wedding?

We have heard horror stories about other vendors mismanaging their files, or accidents happening. To combat that, we triple back-up your footage on 3 different storage devices. Yes, triple back-up. It may seem excessive but we don’t take any chances here! We import every video and audio file from your wedding immediately after it’s been recorded and then back it up to other devices for assurance that your footage is safe.

What about once the video is complete?

Don’t worry, we don’t dump all of your footage/media from your wedding day as soon as your video is completed! In fact, we will store your footage for a guaranteed 365 days after creation date! That means, if you decide later on down the road that you want to purchase the RAW footage or ceremony edit of your wedding day, then no problem! We are media hoarders, and will save every single video clip as well as audio, and keep it backed-up.

How does the video editing process work?

Once we’ve filmed your wedding, we then go through the long process of editing. Which is much more than you may think! We go through both video and audio recorded from your day and put it together with color grade, music, and graphics to create your one of a kind wedding video. After your video is what we consider finished, we will then send to you, the client, privately- before uploading to social media platforms. After minor tweaks and changes at your discretion, we then send the final version out to you as well as upload publicly!

How long until I will receive my video?

Because the editing process is so long and complex, and we work a lot of weddings, the standard turnaround time is about 2-3 months after your wedding. We want to make sure your video is perfect and we don’t rush perfection! We edit chronologically, so our work flow is strictly based on time of wedding. We do not offer paid rush editing, because we don’t believe in paying to get ahead of the line. Basically whoever got married first gets their video first! For example, a couple whose wedding was in October will have their video before a couple whose wedding was in November. First come, first serve.

How will I receive the final video?

Like we said earlier, after you approve the final edit, your video is then sent to you via a temporary private link where you can immediately download the video file, as well as use the public social media links to view the video. You are also free to share the downloadable link with friends and family as you please. We also ship out a personalized USB and USB storage box with you and your spouse’s names engraved. The personalized USB and storage box is included with every package!

What if my venue doesn’t allow drones?

If you’ve chosen the Classic or Premium package that offers drone videography and your venue does not allow drones, no problem. We can offer to either swap out Drone Videography with a different choice listed on our add-ons with cost of value added or subtracted, or replace it with an additional hour.

Can I have a popular song for my wedding video?

The short answer is maybe. We only use legally obtained music for our wedding videos. That means paying for a license to use music that is specifically for your video. We do this in order to assure you, as the client, that you will have absolutely no issues regarding the legality of your video. We source our music from musicbed.com, they have an extensive music library that offers wonderful music to chose from! When the editing process begins, we send you a list of songs we’ve cultivated specifically for you to choose from for your video. (You are welcome to browse for music yourself as well!) We make sure that the music we offer you matches the tempo, style, and vibe of your video as well as you as the couple, but you get the final say in what music you want. That being said, if there is a specific song that you absolutely cannot live without, we can research to find a license at a reasonable cost to you, the client.

“But I’ve seen other videographers using popular music?”

Other videographers may be using trendy, popular music on the radio, but the likelihood that their music is legally sourced is slim. We don’t want any reason for your wedding film to be taken down off of Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, or anywhere really. You can rest at ease knowing that your wedding film will be timeless as well as legal!
